hitting the big 4-0
my name’s janine and i’m addicted to computer books. well, they say admitting you have a problem is the first step but i’m not sure i’ll ever be cured!
i have realised that i now own over 40 books, mainly on web development. i don’t intend calculating how much this has cost but phone directory sized geek bibles do not come cheap! my collection includes:
4 javascript books
4 php books
5 xml books
and 5 .NET books
eeekkkkk!
even scarier, i have not read a fair few of them! but someday, when i have the time, i’m sure i will. when i have even more time i may review a few on my blog because some are not great but others are all time classics that should be on everyone’s shelf - in fact they should probably be on the leaving cert syllabus

And the other question where the hell to store all these books….mine tend to accumulate on my desk! Hey if you ever develop an interest in 3D design or video editing we can meet by the spire and swap books!!!!

they’re still not *proper* books though…you definitely need a bit of fiction to beef things up you know

yes caoimhe - storage is a nightmare! but they are multifunctional - great as doorstops and leaning on and throwing at ignorant sisters who waste their time reading fiction! :>
