Spring lambs at Airfield in Dundrum

Spring lambs at Airfield Trust

I wandered around Airfield farm and gardens yesterday. It’s very strange that you can get off the Luas at Balally in the midst of motorways and massive apartment blocks, and feel like you are in the middle of the country a short walk later! The 6 euro admission fee is a bit steep for what you get, but it is worth it every so often for the feeling of getting away from it all. After yesterday’s showers, it was fairly muddy and I was raging at missing an opportunity to finally wear the size 9 pink Hunter wellies I bought years ago in TK Maxx. :)

Our muddle through the mud was rewarded with getting close to the little lambs. Unfortunately, I did not have my camera with me, but hopefully the small white blobs in the camera phone pic above still look like lambs! There are better photos on the Airfield Trust website.

Hi, I just wonder why you changed the name on your blog? Cute lambs btw, I can’t eat lamb but it’s just the taste I don’t like!
    Cheers.

    Hi Tim,
Thanks for dropping by – that’s a pretty impressive collection of photos you have on your site. The blog name change came after I had not blogged for a year and was coming back with a less technical, more homely focus. But sadly as things turned out, I have not got back into blogging much, so I may as well have just left the name as it was!

Hi Janine, thanks for the compliment about the photos! I could have read your about me (I just did today) to get the reason for your name change also…then I wouldn’t have had to ask, but then I wouldn’t have had an excuse for commenting!
    Cheers!
