Seven Weeks
I have set a new personal best for the longest gap between blog posts. What better way to break this staggering 49 day silence than with a trivial yawn-inducing me me me post!
I have actually had a couple of mails lately saying “damn, your blog is not up to date so I have had to go to the hassle of personally e-mailing you to find out what you are up to instead”. Ah, the joys of being so open on the web! Somehow, I have still not got around to replying to lots of e-mails or some friendly blog comments. Apologies to one and all! I’m not sure where the time has gone, so I’ll make a list of what has been keeping me busy, to try and figure that out and update anyone who cares simultaneously…

The mutant wisdom tooth
After several years of lying there innocently, my deeply decayed and impacted wisdom tooth finally declared all out war. How one little tooth can cause so much pain is beyond me. Thankfully I got an early slot down in Mullingar (I will never slag boggers again! :D) and my 4 wisdom teeth (and 4 others for the laugh) vanished. No more chicken nuggets for me for a while. Plus the tooth fairy owes me big time!

The new job
I have been settling into my new job which is different to the last (good) but very, very, very busy (not so good!). Clearly, my wisdom tooth was not too keen on the change, but hopefully I’ll hack it a bit longer before I kick off.

The neverending episode of "I’m an adult, get me out of here"
Yes, I’m *still* house hunting. Well, apartment hunting these days to be precise. There is evidence of the summer slowdown starting which is both good (less competition) and bad (less supply). If only I knew all I know now when I started, but that’s impossible. Hopefully, after climbing all the way up the learning curve, I’ll get on the ladder soon. Fingers (and toes) crossed!

Hi Janine,
Congrats on the new job.
What pray tell are you doing? Have you left a life of web design behind you?

thanks laura,
i was never a web designer, just a web dev monkey. i’m more of a web admin monkey these days but i’m still in the game (for now!)….
not saying exactly what because i got into trouble for that in the past!!!
plus, i’m trying to get more mysterious in my old age.
justin - i fear poor ol wysiwyg is on her last legs but i’ll make a few more lame attempts to resuscitate her!

I thought I was the only person with pathetic mates who actually replaced me with my blog! Since I started up online most of my friends know all about my life, but have stopped calling me to tell me about theirs. Charming.
Like the site - just found you whilst surfing. I’m a Dublin girl now living in Melbourne, Aus.
