The complete works of Argos
An eagerly awaited event in our household is the release of the new Argos catalogue. I arrived home last night to whoops of excitement since the new catalogue is now a whopping 1642 pages! So Argos junkies are advised to bring a wheelbarrow with them when collecting their half dozen copies.
Judging by how busy most outlets seem to be all year round, I am not sure how Ireland ever managed before Argos came along. Now that they are including 3500 extra products, there may well be stampedes at shopping centres near you. These extra products are only already in stock at a few larger select branches which carry the full range. Others may have to wait 4 days for theit extra special purchases to arrive.
Luckily Argos recognise The Blanchardstown Centre for the shopping mecca it is, so there are 2 branches there already. One of these is now an Extra branch so I am within walking distance of such delights as an Air Attack 460 Power Kite (no 072/2199 €560.99), an 8ft Inflatable Illuminated Ho Ho Homer Santa Figure (025/0960 €99.99) and, most exciting of all, an 18 inch Pirates of the Caribbean Motion Activated Speaking Jack Sparrow Figure (no 270/1534 €74.99)!

I saw the catalogue in my folks yesterday - Jaysus, it’s the retail equivalent of ‘War and Peace’.
Thanks for the birthday wishes too.

do you know, in the last few days i’ve seen more people thumbing through the big book of argos than i’ve spotted reading harry potter. argos is more popular than the speccie wizard brat? could they even overtake the da vinci code?
