strawberry savings
I was a bit wary at first, but having seen it heavily featured on pigsback, I finally decided to check out StrawberryNET, a discount online cosmetics store.
They certainly have a wide selection of skin care, make up and perfumes on offer, unlike the disappointing cd-wow sister site wow woman, and the prices seem generally far cheaper than the department store make-up counters i dread visiting! Even better is that they provide free shipping worldwide - registered post if you please!
For example, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturiser costs me about €40, but costs just €22 here. I’ve had my eye on Calvin Klein’s Eternity Moment perfume, but at €57 for 50 mls and over €80 for 100 mls in my local Boots, I wasn’t impressed. €43 for 100 mls at StrawberryNET sounded much better to me so I decided to treat myself!
On reaching the checkout page my hopes were dashed when I saw a big warning in red stating that I may be liable for customs charges when I received my package. Eeeekk! I have heard a few horror stories of people getting cheap deals on the net only to be hit with a hefty extra charge when they finally got their goods. However, on googling around it seemed that others had glowing reports for StrawberryNET and the price seemed so good I figured I could not lose…
Well sure enough I received my perfume today and was not charged anything extra! I figure this may be due to the customs label saying the package contained toiletries which were a gift. The pale blue ribbon tied beautifully around the package probably did no harm either!
So I’m extremely impressed by StrawberryNET and I’ll be able to pass those haughty make up counter assistants with a smug grin next time :>
