I also wanted to mention http://www.frenchsole.com/ who do gorgeous ballerina shoes. If you check their size guide you'll see some of their styles go up to EU44. Also I saw http://www.amberandjade.com/ mentioned in the Sunday Times - but beware they say their fittings are narrow. Oh, and two American sites: http://www.shoesofyourdreams.com/ and http://www.designershoes.com/, the latter of which has a great selection. I have bought Uggs from them before (which go up to a UK9 I believe), but I had to pay a fortune in import duty. I'd suggest you see the names of the designers you like on these sites, and search around the internet for local or European retailers, who might order in your size for you, even if they don't usually stock it. It's really not the shops to blame - it's the designers. It costs them more to produce a line in a size which they THINK is not cost effective to sell; I think these days there is a big market for larger ladies' shoes. Viva la revolution!
