Although I have just woken at 6.30 AM on a Saturday (no lie in!), the new iPod with colour display still looks mighty fine this early in the morning.

At €319, the price is not that bad as they go either. Yikes, e-mails advertising goodies like this should not arrive in my inbox first thing on a Saturday morning when I’ve nothing to do to distract me from buying one!

Even though I only got my iPod last Christmas, if my iSkin wildsides cover fits it, this will take some serious resisting. The screen is one of the few things that irks me about mine at the moment. It’s so basic and dark.

Even though I hate my dodgy Motorola phone, I’m finding it hard to settle on a replacement, because I have got used to the smooth clear TFT screeen. There really is no going back.

I’m off to lock up my credit card before I do something rash…
