Horrible Hair Monsters
There is a huge advertising campaign at the moment for Sunsilk shampoo. The campaign creative centres around these horrible hair monsters that play havoc with your hair. The TV commercial is highly original, particularly as Shampoo ads go, and was devised by the highly acclaimed agency Glassworks.
It is certainly memorable - too memorable for me! I find the creepy creatures so revolting that I have to switch channels whenever the ad comes on.
It gets worse. Now the hair monsters are invading every bus shelter in sight too!
Yes, this campaign has got my attention and yes, I remember the product. Will I be buying Sunsilk hair products? *Never* again 
Update 16 July 2005: Jeepers! I had no idea this post or the hair monsters would prove so popular - thanks for all the comments guys I think Sunsilk have finally realised their appeal - they are getting their own website soon at hairmonsters.co.uk / hairmonsters.com . I still can’t stand them though - sorry!

I’d rather a hair monster than those little buggers that pop open toenails on TV. That’s my one and only channel changer ad. Makes me want to be ill even thinking about it.

I love those ads!
Infact I told my husband the other day that I want a little pet monster!
Not sure about the greasy monster or the split end monster, but the little purple one is SO cute!

I LOVE the hiar monsters. I was just in england and i saw the ad and I was like “These things are sooo awesome!” I personally think they are adorable. I want a plush one of the one that causes kinks. It looks like my dog. Except purple.

I think the hair monsters are cute too. I also don’t see what’s wrong with them. Most peoples’ hair is manky coz they put too much moose/gel/dye other nasty chemicals on it anyway. Leave the poor ickle monsters alone, it ain’t their fault!

Right, not sure how i stumbled on this page, however the issue is not the likeability of the computer generated monsters within the advert, the issue is the song on the advert is f*****g awesome and i can not find out anywhere to get hold of it, someone please help me!!
