Just in case you may have forgotten that today is St Patrick’s Day, I decided at the last minute this morning to decorate my blog with a few reminders in my usual subtle style I figure, if it’s good enough for Google to go green for the day, wysiwyg can join in too!

I never get up to much on St Patrick’s Day really. I just value it as a day off! At least it was nice and sunny for the Dublin parade this year. I’m far too old and frail to be standing waving at the floats though
I tend to give town a miss in general because after the parade it ain’t the nicest place to be unless you’re drowning the shamrock…

So instead, I’ll be tuning into Cheltenham and trying not to be declared bankrupt on our national holiday. It’s one race, one win so far thanks to King Harald. Having posted about my success, I’ve probably just guaranteed that I won’t have any more winners for the rest of the year. Yet, victory happens so seldom that I’m going to enjoy it – Maybe St Patrick is bringing me the luck of the Irish after all
