Good Luck and Good Lord!
First up, best of luck to my sister, the penguin loving Mish. She starts her Economics finals this morning in Trinity. Aaaggghhh! Thankfully, she’s a lot calmer than I am
She’s mega talented but you always need lots of luck too so I’ll be thinking of her lots. Don’t worry Mish – on 3 June you’re finished with supply and demand curves and scary quants forever!
Something else that’s a bit scary is that I got an e-mail from another Janine Dalton yesterday. That’s scary in a good way of course – she wasn’t threatening to kill me for buying her domain name or anything
It just felt a bit odd to be Janine Dalton e-mailing Janine Dalton! She lives in Canada. I wonder how many more of us there are dotted around the globe? On the internet, there are not too many traces of Janine Daltons around, so I don’t think there are zillions of us. There must be oodles more than Google can track down though. Maybe we can all meet up Dave Gorman style someday

“The result of the research is a number, or a series of numbers. These are often presented in tables, graphs or other forms of statistics”
good god, that makes it sound like i spend my time colouring in bar charts, instead of messing around with stochastic processes and hamiltonian functions!
