Donna and Joe
Well tonight’s the night. The Eurovision semi final is finally here. I can barely contain myself 
This is unchartered waters for Ireland, so best of luck to Donna and Joe. Although they are brother and sister, they make quite an odd pairing. Joseph, or Joe, or whatever he’s calling himself these days, is indeed Bosco on speed as a Ray D’arcy listener cleverly pointed out.
And the song… Well, let’s not even GO there! At least it is more eurovisionesque than our previous efforts.
In any case, fair play to Donna and Joe. Whatever you think of them, they are giving it their best shot. I’m not sure why the competition still exists but it doesn’t do anyone any harm so each to their own.
You can even send a good luck message to Donna and Joe if you like. I’m tempted, as I actually backed Ireland to win when they won You’re a Star. My logic at the time was that the song was perhaps so bad that it just might do it. I really worry about myself sometimes!

It is a terrible song isn’t it. I do like the “bosco on speed” description, LOL.
Ever wonder if those Fr. Ted writers got it spot on with their “My lovely Horse” episode?

That mention of “Joseph, or Joe, or whatever he’s calling himself these days” worries me a little. Does that mean that we have yet another split-personality Eurovision entry, following on from the Mickey (Joe) Harte sage of a couple of years ago?
As for the Eurovision not doing anybody any harm - that’s an argument for another day methinks!

i’m gutted! we didn’t even make the final - the shame! perhaps, we will give up now and never enter again - hooray!
and yes daithi, you were right about the mickey (joe) thing. in fact, someone texted in to dave fanning the other night saying:
mickey joe lost the joe before he went to the eurovision - any chance donna could do the same?
harsh!
i do feel partly responsible though. i do have immense ability to curse things so probably writing a blog post on the day of the semis jinxed the whole thing - how can i live with myself
ah well, another get rich quick scheme down the drain…

hello i thought donna and joe were brilliant and the song was very strong they were rob because by the phone vote. if they had to go around the countries ireland would go through the worst thing new that wee have to quailed for the next but the will be a wak in the park

I thought Donna and Joe were EXCELENT.The song was also EXCELENT and they sang it really well.It was just Block Voting.Donna and Joe were by far the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

donna and joseph did there best the should have one.it was the block voting only for that we would have a chance.poor donna was sick joseph just went mad on the stadge we loved there prformance.WELL GOOD LUCK IN THE FURTHER
