went to the keane gig last sunday in the olympia. all i can say is wow! they sounded great and tom (lead singer) and tim (keyboards) had such energy, leaping around on stage the entire time! i was amazed by how much more lively and intense their material was live – i’d expected a far more mellow affair so was pleasantly surprised with chants of “keano! keano!” between songs throughout, i’d say that next time they grace our shores the venue will sadly be far less intimate… naturally, “somewhere only we know” got the best reception of the night, and as the show came to an end with current single bedshaped most of us in the circle were giving a standing ovation. excellent stuff!
